Ghost Encounters: Deadwood is a hidden object game with a western theme. It revolves around a town (Deadwood) where an outlaw (Blackjack) just woke up from his grave and is terrorizing it. It has 2 modes of playing it . The main difference between them is that in the casual mode more interactive things sparkle than in the advanced mode where you need to be extra careful.
The graphics and artwork are very good, they give the game a certain style of its own. The whole game has a brown chromatic to better emulate the western style. Although the story is linear, it doesn't hurt its quality. The voice actors are very good and this also boosts the overall quality of the game. You don't have a map, but all your past actions are saved in a journal which can be accessed at any time.
The gameplay is very fine for a hidden object game. Usually you can just random click everywhere and you will discover most of the hidden objects. Ghost Encounters Deadwood has a feature where if you click too fast at random a message will appear : "too much careless clicking" . It is not necessary to do every puzzle you encounter in order to finish the game, some can be skipped. In addition, if the game gets too difficult at some points you can use a HINT which charges over time.
Ghost Encounters Deadwood is a very well made hidden object game with an intriguing story.
